Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased on fluxnote.io or through the FluxNote application. We want you to be fully satisfied with our service. If you have any questions not addressed here, please reach out to us at support@fluxnote.io.
By subscribing to FluxNote, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. We encourage you to read this document carefully before making a purchase.
2. Subscription Plans
FluxNote offers the following paid subscription tiers, each available on a monthly or annual billing cycle:
- Free — always free, limited to 3 videos per month, no payment required.
- Pro — $19/month (or $15/month billed annually at $180/year). Includes 50 videos/month, all caption styles, video editor, and more.
- Business — $49/month (or $39/month billed annually at $468/year). Includes 200 videos/month, API access, white-label export, and team seats.
Annual plans are charged as a single upfront payment for the full year. Monthly plans are charged on the same calendar date each month. All prices are in USD.
3. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time — no questions asked.
How to Cancel
- Log in to your FluxNote account.
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription.
- Click 'Cancel Subscription' and follow the on-screen prompts.
- You will receive a confirmation email once cancellation is processed.
What Happens After Cancellation
- Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). You retain full access to your paid plan until that date.
- No data is deleted immediately upon cancellation. Your videos, projects, and account data remain accessible through the end of your paid period.
- After the billing period ends, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free tier. You will retain access to your account with Free plan limits (3 videos/month).
- Videos and projects created under the paid plan remain available to view and download; you simply cannot create new videos beyond the Free tier limit.
4. Refund Policy
Our refund eligibility differs between monthly and annual plans. Please review the applicable section below.
4.1 Monthly Plans — No Refund for Current Month
Monthly subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing cycle and are non-refundable for the current billing month. If you cancel a monthly plan, you will not be charged for the following month, and you retain access until the end of the current period.
4.2 Annual Plans — 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
- Within 7 days of initial purchase: You are eligible for a full refund of the annual subscription amount, no questions asked. Email support@fluxnote.io with your order ID to initiate.
- After 7 days: Annual plan payments are non-refundable. Your subscription will continue and you will have access to all paid features until the end of your annual billing year.
The 7-day window applies to the original purchase date of an annual subscription. Renewals of annual plans follow the same policy — refund requests for annual renewals must be submitted within 7 days of the renewal charge date.
4.3 Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that situations arise that may not fit neatly into the above categories. We review exceptional refund requests on a case-by-case basis. You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:
- A serious illness or other personal emergency that prevented you from using the service during your subscription period.
- A significant change to the core features of FluxNote that materially impacts your intended use case.
- Other extraordinary circumstances at the sole discretion of FluxNote support.
To request an exceptional refund, email support@fluxnote.io within 30 days of the charge. Include your account email, order ID, and a brief description of your circumstances. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
4.4 Duplicate Charges
If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a billing error, you are entitled to a full refund of the duplicate charge(s). Refunds for duplicate charges are processed within 5 business days of verification. Please email support@fluxnote.io with your order ID(s) and bank statement if available.
4.5 Failed Service Delivery
If FluxNote fails to deliver the service you paid for — for example, a complete outage lasting more than 72 consecutive hours, or a critical feature being permanently removed without notice — you are entitled to a full refund for the affected billing period. Please contact us at support@fluxnote.io to report the issue and initiate the refund process.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@fluxnote.io with the subject line Refund Request — [Your Order ID]. Please include:
- Your registered account email address.
- Your Order ID or Transaction ID (found in your confirmation email or Account Settings → Billing).
- The date of the charge you are requesting a refund for.
- The reason for your refund request (e.g. annual plan within 7 days, duplicate charge, failed service delivery, exceptional circumstances).
Refund requests submitted without an Order ID may be delayed as we verify the transaction. We recommend keeping your payment confirmation emails for your records.
6. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund has been approved by our team, please allow the following timeframes for the amount to appear in your account:
- FluxNote internal approval: 1–2 business days from the date we receive your request.
- Payment processor processing: 3–5 additional business days after approval.
- Total typical timeframe: 5–7 business days from the date of approval.
- Bank processing time may vary depending on your financial institution. In some cases it can take up to 10 business days.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to issue refunds to a different card or bank account.
You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been initiated on our end. If you do not receive the refund within 10 business days of that confirmation, please contact your bank or card issuer before reaching out to us.
