Choose accurate start and end times

Start at 0 to cut from the beginning, or enter a later timestamp to remove an intro. The end time must be greater than the start, and the selected interval can be up to 600 seconds.

For example, start 12.5 and end 42.5 creates a 30-second result. If the end time exceeds the available source duration, processing may stop at the source's actual end.

Convert minutes to seconds before entering a range: 1:15.5 is 75.5 seconds. Listen to the original in your player to choose the boundaries; this tool uses numeric fields, not a draggable waveform. For a spoken excerpt, leave a little room before and after the sentence to avoid cutting off words.

Why the trimmed file is encoded as MP3

Inputs may use different containers and codecs, so the selected segment is encoded to a consistent MP3 output. This avoids depending on whether the original format supports exact lossless cuts at the requested timestamp.

Re-encoding can slightly change file size and audio quality. The tool does not add fades, silence, music, normalization, or other edits beyond selecting the requested interval.
