FluxNote does not offer refunds for subscription payments. This policy is based on the immediate, non-revocable consumption of AI generation credits. You can verify this at any time by checking our Terms of Service. However, you can test the platform fully with our free plan, which includes 1 video per month and 100 image credits with no watermark and no credit card required, before committing to a paid plan.

Why We Don't Offer Refunds (And Why That's Fair)
FluxNote's no-refund policy is a direct result of how AI video generation works.
Unlike software you download and own, or a SaaS tool where you pay for access, you pay for computational credits that are consumed the moment you generate a video or image.
Once you click 'Generate,' those credits are instantly used by our infrastructure—paying for GPU time across 11 different AI video models like Sora 2 Pro and Veo 3 Quality.
We cannot 'un-run' that generation or return those consumed cloud resources.
This is standard across AI generation platforms because the cost is incurred immediately upon use.
Our policy ensures we can keep our base pricing low—starting at $7.99/mo annually for 21 videos—by not building the cost of refund processing and credit-reversal fraud into everyone's subscription.
Think of it like buying tokens at an arcade: once you use the token to play a game, you can't get it back, but you can decide not to use the rest.
We provide transparent usage tracking so you always know how many credits you have left.
Your Real Protection: The Full-Featured Free Plan and Pro-Rated Cancellation
Your protection against paying for a service you don't use isn't a refund; it's our unlimited free tier and instant cancellation. The FluxNote free plan gives you 1 full video per month and 100 image credits, with access to the same 11 video models and 19 image models as paid plans, and critically, no watermark.
This isn't a crippled trial. You can create a complete video with animated captions, use any of the 350+ ElevenLabs voices, and export it—all in about 3 minutes.
This lets you verify the quality matches your needs before any financial commitment. If you do upgrade and later decide to cancel, you can do so instantly from your account settings.
Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and you can continue using your remaining credits. We don't prorate refunds for the unused portion of a month, but we also don't disable your account early.
You keep access to all features until the period you paid for ends. This model puts the control in your hands: test for free, subscribe when ready, and cancel at any time to stop future charges.
What Happens If You Dispute the Charge with Your Bank?
If you file a chargeback or dispute with your bank or PayPal after voluntarily using FluxNote's credits, we will contest it. We will provide your bank with evidence of your account activity, including timestamps of video generations, IP logs, and our clearly stated no-refund policy which you agreed to upon signup.
Winning a chargeback for 'services not received' is not possible when we can show you actively consumed the service. The result of a successful chargeback for us is that we recover the funds.
For you, the result is that your FluxNote account is immediately and permanently terminated. All your projects, videos, and remaining credits are forfeited.
Payment processors also flag accounts associated with chargebacks, which can make it difficult to use the same payment method on other digital services. It's a nuclear option that harms both parties.
The rational path is to use the free plan to evaluate, manage your subscription actively, and cancel if it's not for you. We make cancellation a one-click process to avoid this scenario entirely.
Handling Failed Generations and Technical Issues
A failed video generation does not mean you need a refund; it means you get your credits back. Our policy covers technical failures explicitly.
If a generation fails due to a server error, model timeout, or a bug in our system, the credits used for that generation are automatically refunded to your account balance. You can see this in your usage history.
We do not consider a video you simply don't like as a 'failure.' AI generation is inherently probabilistic. You might get a result that doesn't match your vision.
That's why we offer multiple re-rolls per generation and the ability to use different models. To mitigate this, we provide detailed prompting guides and Studio templates (like news, Reddit, or faceless video styles) that increase predictability.
If you experience repeated technical failures that consume credits, you should contact support through the in-app widget. Our team can review your generation queue, manually restore credits, and, in rare cases of systemic platform issues, issue account credits as a goodwill gesture.
The solution is credit restoration, not a subscription refund.
Comparing Policies: FluxNote vs. The 'Refund Guilt' Trap
Some platforms offer a 7-day refund to reduce sign-up friction, but they often couple it with aggressive annual commitments and watermarked outputs on lower tiers.
This creates a 'refund guilt' trap: you feel pressure to evaluate a complex tool in a week, often while dealing with watermarked outputs that make real testing impossible.
FluxNote's model is the opposite: low friction to start (no credit card), no artificial quality limits on the free tier (no watermark), and simple monthly plans you can cancel anytime.
The Rise plan is $9.99 month-to-month.
You are never locked into a year.
This transparency is a more honest form of consumer protection.
It aligns our incentives: we only earn your continued payment if you find enough value to not cancel.
For teams in India, where annual commitments can be a larger barrier, our India-specific pricing (Rise at ₹999/mo, Pro at ₹1699/mo) is already 3x cheaper than US pricing, reducing the financial risk of trying the Pro or Max tiers without needing a refund safety net.
Step-by-Step: How to Cancel Your Subscription and Avoid Unwanted Charges
Here is the exact process to cancel your subscription, which is your primary control mechanism. First, log into your FluxNote account.
Click on your profile avatar in the top right corner and select 'Billing' from the dropdown menu. You will see your current plan (e.g., Rise at $7.99/mo), your next billing date, and a red button labeled 'Cancel Subscription.' Click this button.
A modal will appear asking for confirmation. It will state clearly that you will retain access to all features until your current billing period ends on [Date], and that you will not be charged again.
Confirm the cancellation. You will receive an email confirmation within minutes.
Your account will now be downgraded to the free plan on that future date. Until then, you can continue using all your remaining video and image credits (e.g., 21 videos on Rise) from your paid plan.
If you wish to re-subscribe later, you can do so at any time. This process takes less than 30 seconds.
We do not have retention calls, lengthy exit surveys, or hidden cancellation steps. If you cannot find the button, contact support via the in-app help widget and they will cancel it for you immediately.
Special Considerations for High-Volume and Business Users
For users on the Pro ($19/mo monthly) or Max ($49/mo monthly) plans, the stakes for a misunderstanding are higher. If you're a business expensing this tool, ensure the approver understands the consumption-based, no-refund nature of AI credits.
Our recommendation is to always start with a lower tier or the free plan to onboard your team. Use the free plan's 1 video to create a standard operating procedure for your use case.
Upgrade only when you have a confirmed monthly volume. For the Max plan's 150 videos, that's an average of 5 videos per day.
Monitor your usage dashboard weekly. If you accidentally over-purchase—for example, you buy the Max plan but only need Pro—you cannot get a partial refund for the price difference.
However, you can downgrade at any time. The change will take effect at your next billing cycle.
You will keep the higher credit allowance (5,000 image credits on Max) until that cycle ends. For agencies managing multiple client accounts, use separate logins.
Consolidating all work into one high-tier account increases risk. It's safer to have individual team members on Rise plans ($7.99/mo annual) for isolation and clear cost attribution.
Pro Tips
- Always use the free plan (1 video/month, no watermark) for at least one complete project before paying. This is your true trial.
- If you're unsure about volume, choose the monthly billing option first (e.g., $9.99/mo for Rise). You can switch to annual billing later for the discount.
- Cancel immediately after subscribing if you want to test paid features risk-free. You'll keep access until the billing period ends.
- Monitor your credit usage in the dashboard. If you're burning through 21 videos on the Rise plan too quickly, upgrade mid-cycle; your new credits are added immediately.
- For users in India, pay via UPI for the local pricing (₹999/mo for Rise). The 3x cheaper rate significantly reduces the need for refund considerations.
