Veed subscriptionCancel veedVeed billingVeed refundHow to Cancel VEED Subscription: Step-by-Step Guide (2026)
Cancel your VEED subscription by clicking your workspace name, selecting Workspace Billing, and clicking Turn off auto-renewal. You must complete a short questionnaire to finalize the cancellation, and VEED recommends canceling at least two business days before your renewal date to avoid charges. VEED does not issue refunds on cancellation. Billing complaints are among the most common VEED reviews: users report unexpected annual charges, charges after cancellation, and refusal of refunds. This guide covers the exact steps, what to do if you are charged after canceling, and alternatives.

How to Cancel VEED on the Web
VEED subscriptions are managed per workspace. If you have multiple workspaces, each has its own billing and must be canceled separately. As of June 2026, per VEED's help center, the steps are:
- 1Log into your VEED account at veed.io
- 2Click your workspace name in the top left corner of the screen
- 3Select Workspace Billing from the dropdown menu
- 4Click the Turn off auto-renewal button
- 5Complete the questionnaire VEED requires (this step is mandatory to finalize cancellation)
- 6Watch for a confirmation email from VEED
VEED explicitly states you should cancel at least two business days before your renewal date. Canceling the day before or on the renewal date may result in being charged for the next cycle, with the no-refund policy then applying.
Important: if you have a VEED Enterprise plan, the cancellation process is different. Contact your Customer Success Manager directly rather than using the Workspace Billing flow.
After cancellation, your workspace remains active through the end of your current billing period. AI credits remain available until the billing period ends, after which the paid plan's credit allowance is removed.
Will I Get a Refund If I Cancel VEED?
VEED's standard policy is no refunds. Per VEED's help center, as of June 2026: canceling your subscription does not result in a refund; it ensures that no further charges will be made under your upgraded workspace.
The one documented exception: if you are a consumer (not a business account) and you have never used VEED services within the first 14 days of your subscription, you may be eligible for a full refund. This is a narrow window and requires zero usage of the paid features.
The billing complaint reality.
VEED has a documented pattern of billing disputes in user reviews. Analysis of Trustpilot reviews shows that approximately 31% of VEED complaints relate to billing issues, including:
- Unexpected annual charges where users thought they were on monthly billing
- Charges after cancellation where the cancellation questionnaire was not fully completed
- Refusals of refunds despite requesting cancellation shortly after renewal
The most common cause of unwanted charges is not completing the cancellation questionnaire (step 5 above). If the questionnaire is not submitted, VEED does not register the cancellation, and auto-renewal proceeds.
If you were charged after canceling
Contact [email protected] immediately with your confirmation email as evidence. If VEED refuses a refund for what appears to be a charge after a completed cancellation, you may be able to dispute the charge with your bank or credit card company as evidence of the cancellation confirmation.

What Happens to Your Videos and Projects After Cancellation?
VEED's help center does not explicitly state what happens to video projects after cancellation. Based on how VEED works as a workspace-based tool:
During your paid period (after canceling, before expiration)
Full access continues. Complete and export any projects in progress.
After expiration
Your workspace reverts to the free VEED plan. The free plan has limited export resolution and applies watermarks to exports. Projects that were in your workspace may remain accessible for editing on the free tier, but export quality and features are restricted.
AI credits
Any remaining AI credits included in your paid plan are usable through the end of your billing period and are removed when the plan expires.
Best practice
Before your billing period ends, export and download any videos you need in full resolution. VEED free-tier exports include watermarks, so high-quality copies need to be exported while the paid plan is still active.
Avoiding VEED Billing Traps
VEED's billing structure has produced more consumer complaints than most competing tools. Here is what to watch for:
Annual vs. monthly billing confusion.
VEED defaults some plans to annual billing. If you selected a plan quickly, verify in Workspace Billing whether you are on a monthly or annual cycle. Annual plans mean the full year is charged upfront, and no prorated refund applies if you cancel mid-year.
The incomplete cancellation problem.
Cancellation requires completing a questionnaire. If you clicked Turn off auto-renewal but did not finish the questions, VEED considers your subscription active. Always verify by checking your Workspace Billing page to confirm auto-renewal shows as off, and confirm you received a cancellation email.
Multiple workspaces.
Each workspace has separate billing. If you are in multiple VEED workspaces, only the specific workspace you turned off auto-renewal for will stop charging. Other workspaces continue billing independently.
Renewal date awareness.
VEED recommends canceling at least two business days before renewal. Mark your renewal date from your Workspace Billing screen and cancel well in advance.
What to Use Instead of VEED
VEED is a browser-based video editor with AI features: auto-subtitles, text-to-speech, background removal, and screen recording. Its strength is accessibility for non-editors who want quick online editing without software installation.
For online editing with similar features.
CapCut (free to $10/month) covers most of VEED's feature set at a lower price point and has a stronger mobile app. Canva Video (free or $13/month) has comparable online editing with better template depth. Both are widely used as VEED alternatives.
For auto-subtitles specifically.
Submagic ($19/month) and Clideo (free tier available) both generate auto-subtitles without VEED's billing complexity. If subtitles are your primary VEED use case, these are focused alternatives.
For faceless AI marketing video.
VEED does have AI video generation features, but it is primarily an editing tool. If you want to generate complete marketing videos from a script without manual editing, FluxNote ($10 to $49/month) is purpose-built for that: write a brief, get a video with AI visuals, voiceover, and captions. No editing session required.
For team video editing with collaboration.
Descript ($24/month) combines transcription, editing, and team collaboration in a more coherent workflow than VEED's workspace model. Frame.io handles review-and-approval workflows for professional video teams.
